ORIGIN STORY
PUP started in 2008 when two citizens decided to salvage and repurpose the roof fabric of the RCA Dome, former home of the Indianapolis Colts. Today, we still work with this incredible resource, and have expanded to reuse countless other materials including Super Bowl XLVI banner vinyl, reclaimed automotive seat belts, decommissioned fire hoses, among others. PUP chose to be a non-profit because we believe that design, reuse, and making can show how communities can be sustainable, resilient, and innovative. Check here to see more of what we're all about.
OUR PRODUCTS & RESOURCES
Each PUP product is designed and hand-built at PUP HQ in Indianapolis. We work with local talent to create beautiful, long-lasting, and responsible products for everyone. Our product line adapts with available resources, which means that most of our products are one-of-a-kind. More about our resources and associated projects here.
OUR STUDIO
PUP HQ is housed in an old cafeteria building at the Central State Village, a former Indiana state mental hospital. We've co-located with several other designers and fabricators to help bring a positive new chapter to Indy's near west community. If you're interested in visiting, take a look here.
