English Foundation Trailstop
REFURBISHED BUSH STADIUM SEATS ALONG THE CULTURAL TRAIL.
Before.
In 2012, Central Indiana Community Foundation approached PUP to develop a Trailstop at the corner of Alabama and North to enhance the almost completed Indianapolis Cultural Trail, functioning as a rest stop and vista of the city's skyline.
Teamed with Brian Payne (founder of The Cultural Trail) and Alphons Van Adrichem of CICF, PUP designed a micro amphitheater-like structure using salvaged Bush Stadium seats. The installation replaced one car-parking spot and added six bicycle-parking spots next to an Indiana Pacers Bikeshare station. The Trailstop also includes illuminated signage for CICF and The English Foundation Building. The installation was completed in the summer of 2014 and continues to perform as one of Indianapolis' coolest places along the trail.
